ACTIVITIES

There are so many things to do in Norfolk, but here are a few of our favourites...

Vicarage Gardens - East Ruston

Spend a peaceful afternoon or morning wandering around the vast gardens, then relax in the tea room with a brew and a homemade cake.

Eccles and Happisburgh beach

Wide sandy beaches - walk part of the Norfolk Coast Path, bring a book and a chair and chill out, paddle, or (if you're really brave) bring a towel and have a swim!

Parking at Cart Gap or Happisburgh

Horsey beach

Enjoy a walk, and hopefully see the seals at Horsey Beach!

Parking at Horsey Gap or Horsey Wind Pump

The Norfolk Broads

Who could take a trip to Norfolk and not see the famous broads!  Hire a day boat, go kayaking or buy a ticket for an excursion on a vintage steamer!

Available at Wroxham, Hickling, and Wayford just to name a few.

Steam Railways

There are a couple of steam railway lines in Norfolk - great for a day out with the kids (or not so little kids themselves)!

The Poppy Line runs from Holt to Sheringham, and the narrow gauge Bure Valley Railway runs from Wroxham to Aylsham.

Walking

Pack your walking boots and revel in the scenic countryside for a few hours.  There are lots of footpaths and also trails such as the Weavers' Way, Marriott's Way and Norfolk Coast path.

Norwich

Immerse yourself in all that Norwich has to offer.  From historic lanes, churches, the Cathedrals and Tombland to boating on the river.  Plenty of shopping experiences and choices for eating and drinking out.

Waxham Barn, Waxham

This magnificent Grade I-listed thatched Tudor barn is a significant part of the local history and community. The Barn is also licensed for wedding ceremonies and available as a venue for wedding receptions and other private functions.
